9th March, A drive to Saariselkä

Yes we saw the lights again last night. 11pm, but no where near as strong as the night before.
But still good.
We woke up to the ship approaching Kirkenes and it was snowing quite heavily. Also the water was frozen and the boat had to act like a mini ice breaker.

Kirkenes is only a small town, we board our bus and we were through it in 1 minute flat
It is only a couple of clicks to the Russian border so we did a little detour to see it.
There is a nice little souvenir shop on the Finland side.
Then of to our destination. We did stop at a little museum all about the Sami people. Thats the local natives, it was quite interesting.
Past frozen lakes and white forests.
Until we finally get to Saariselkä. A resort town for winter sports and our hotel
To much cloud cover for northern lights tonight.
